Make-to-Order Imitation Jewellery: From Your Design to Bulk Production

How a customize jewellery manufacturer turns your reference into a finished bulk order: 3D CAD proofs, physical sample sign-off, in-house karigars and factory-direct rates.

Most imitation jewellery sold in India is bought off a fixed range: you pick from what a supplier already stocks. Make-to-order imitation jewellery works the other way round. You bring the design, and the factory builds it. That single difference is what lets a retailer run an exclusive range, an exporter match a client's brief, and a reseller stop competing on identical stock. Here is how the process actually runs at a custom design jewellery manufacturer, step by step.

Step 1: Share Your Reference

Every custom order jewellery project begins with a reference. It can be a photo of an existing piece, a screenshot from Instagram, a hand-drawn sketch or just a description of the motif you want: Lakshmi, Ganesha, Kasu, Guttapusalu, peacock or a modern bridal set. Send it on WhatsApp and we confirm the same day whether it is feasible, what it will cost at factory rate, and how long production will take. There is no obligation at this stage and no design fee to start the conversation.

Step 2: 3D CAD Proof Before Any Metal Is Cut

This is where a professional custom design jewellery manufacturer separates itself from a small workshop. We model your piece in Rhino 3D using the Matrix and Matrix Gold plug-ins and send a photorealistic rendered proof for approval. You see exactly how the piece will look, in the exact proportions, before a single mould is cut. Revisions are part of the process: we iterate the 3D model until you sign off. This step removes guesswork, prevents expensive rework, and means the physical piece matches your expectation.

Step 3: Physical Sample Sign-Off

Once the CAD proof is approved, we produce a single physical sample and courier it to you. You hold it, check the weight, the plating, the stone setting and the finish in the hand. Nothing proceeds to a bulk run until you sign off on that sample. For first-time clients a nominal sample charge may apply, adjusted against your first bulk order. This is deliberately non-negotiable: we will never manufacture hundreds of pieces you have not seen and touched.

Step 4: Bulk Production by In-House Karigars

With the sample approved, your order goes into full production. Casting, antique or matte plating, kemp and CZ stone-setting and hand-finishing are all done by our own in-house karigars in Kandivali East, Mumbai, with no subcontractors in the chain. Our standard MOQ is 200 units per design, and colours or finishes can be mixed within that count. Every unit is QC'd against the approved sample, then individually wrapped with anti-tarnish protection so stock arrives counter-ready. Large orders of 5,000+ units are run batch-wise with strict quality checking at each stage.

Payment, Timeline and Approval

Terms are straightforward: a 60% advance to lock the factory rate and start mould-making, with the balance 40% cleared after you approve the ready stock on a WhatsApp video call, before dispatch. A typical make-to-order run takes roughly 15 to 25 working days from sample sign-off, longer for dense temple work or multi-piece bridal sets. Batch-wise payment can be arranged for very large orders. GST invoices are provided on all domestic orders.

What You Can Customize

As artificial jewellery manufacturers in Mumbai with 20 years behind us, we make almost any traditional or contemporary design to order: temple haarams, Lakshmi and antique chokers, Guttapusalu and Kasu malas, jhumkas and studs, waist chains, Kundan and bridal sets. Base metal (Mazak or brass), plating grade, stone type and packaging are all specified by you. For regular accounts we also offer private-label boxes and branded packaging, so the finished product is fully yours.
