"Near me" is one of the most common ways buyers search for wholesale jewellery. Proximity is convenient, but for a wholesaler or distributor, the better question is: what kind of supplier do I need?
When a nearby wholesale shop is right
- You need a few pieces of many designs
- You want stock today
- You are testing new styles
- You run a single small shop
When a factory is better, even if it is far
- You need 200+ pcs of a design
- You want lower rates at volume
- You need custom colours, stones or designs
- You need re-orders that match exactly
- You supply many retailers or branches
Buying from a distant factory safely
- Verify the business: GST number, address, years in business.
- Ask for a live workshop video.
- Approve a sample.
- Pay a part advance to a business account.
- Approve ready stock on video before paying the balance.
- Ship by trusted transport; inspect on arrival.

These steps make distance a small factor compared with the benefits of buying direct.
If you are near Mumbai
Our factory is in Kandivali East, next to Malad. Trade buyers can visit by appointment. See factory near Malad and Kandivali.
Buyers near Mumbai can visit both the historic markets and manufacturers in the western suburbs in one trip, see production, and collect goods directly.
If you are anywhere else
Most of our buyers order remotely from across India and abroad: design codes on WhatsApp, video approval, dispatch by transport, and courier samples within India (overseas samples are arranged on request, with the buyer paying door to door). MOQ 200 pcs per design (400 for earrings and pendants).
What to ask any supplier, near or far
- Are you a manufacturer or a trader?
- What is your MOQ per design?
- Can I see a sample and the workshop?
- What are your payment terms?
- Can I see ready stock before paying the balance?
- Do you give GST invoices?
The answers matter more than the distance.
Transport from Mumbai
Road transport companies connect Mumbai to most of India within days, and air cargo handles urgent stock. Factory prices are Ex-Works; add transport to your landed cost. Read Ex-Works and To-Pay.
How to judge a nearby wholesale shop
A good local wholesaler is valuable. Look for: a steady range of designs you can re-order, honest descriptions of materials, fair and clear pricing by quantity, willingness to exchange genuine defects, GST invoices, and stock that is packed and stored properly. Visit a few times before committing, and buy small first.
Combining local and factory supply
Most successful retailers and distributors use both. Local wholesalers supply small quantities, urgent top-ups and trend tests. A manufacturer, even one in another city, supplies core best sellers in larger quantities at factory prices, with consistent quality and exact re-orders. The combination gives flexibility and margin together.
