Buyers often search for South Indian bridal jewellery sets "with price". Because bridal sets vary so much in pieces, weight and stone work, a single number rarely helps. What helps is understanding the price drivers, so you can compare quotes and plan price tiers for your counter.
What goes into a South Indian bridal set
A full set may include a choker (attigai), one or two long necklaces (haaram, mango mala or kasu mala), jhumkas with ear chains, nethi chutti, vaddanam, vanki and hair ornaments. A "complete" set can mean four pieces or ten. Always compare like for like.
The main price drivers
| Driver | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Number of pieces | More pieces, higher set price |
| Kemp and stone count | Setting is hand labour |
| Weight and base metal | Brass costs more than Mazak |
| Finish | Antique needs more steps |
| Pearl and bead work | Stringing labour |
| Quantity per design | Higher quantity, lower rate |
Building price tiers
Most retailers need three tiers:
- Essential: choker, one necklace, jhumkas
- Complete: adds vaddanam and nethi chutti
- Grand: adds a second necklace, vanki and hair jewellery
Order each tier as its own design so pricing and stock stay clear. Read bridal jewellery bundles.
- Classic: adds a choker or kasu mala, bangles and a waist belt, for most brides.
- Grand: the full layered look with haaram, armlets and hair ornaments, for brides who want everything.
Keep the same design language across tiers where you can, so a family can move up a tier without changing style.
Getting accurate factory rates
Send the design codes or photos, list the pieces you want in each set, and state the quantity per design. We quote factory rates by set, usually the same day, with MOQ 200 pcs per design (400 for earrings and pendants). See the wholesale price list page.
Ask manufacturers to quote each piece of the set separately and the complete set together, at your intended quantity per design. That shows where the cost sits and lets you adjust the set, for example with a lighter waist belt or fewer stones on the armlets, to hit your target price without weakening the pieces customers look at first.
Avoiding false comparisons
A cheaper quote often means fewer pieces, lighter metal or fewer stones. Ask every supplier for a piece-by-piece list and a sample.
What decides the price of a South Indian bridal set
A South Indian bridal set is several pieces, and the price is the sum of choices across all of them:
| Factor | Lower cost | Higher cost |
|---|---|---|
| Number of pieces | Necklace, earrings, tikka | Choker, two necklaces, haaram, waist belt, armlets, hair set |
| Base metal | Zinc alloy | Brass |
| Weight | Lighter castings, hollow parts | Heavy, solid castings |
| Stones | Fewer, standard kemp | Many graded kemp stones, pearls, CZ accents |
| Finish | Standard antique | Heavier plating with lacquer, finer relief work |
| Quantity per design | At the MOQ | Well above the MOQ, which lowers unit price |
| Packaging | Bags | Boxed sets with inserts |
Two sets that look similar in a photograph can differ greatly on these points, which is why quotes from different suppliers vary so much.
